Call for Special Sessions

IEEE SSCI 2022 has a number of confirmed symposia and special sessions. However, there are still areas in the field of computational intelligence that are not covered. The IEEE SSCI 2022 Organizing Committee invites proposals for special sessions on topics not covered by existing symposia and special sessions. A special session will run only when there are at least six accepted papers. If the number of accepted papers is less, the accepted papers will be allocated to the most relevant symposium or special session.

Important Information for Proposals

A special session proposal should include the following information:
  • Title of the special session
  • A list of topics (5-20 topics)
  • Description of the scope (100-400 words)
  • Explanation on relations and differentiations from related symposia and special sessions (if any)
  • The expected number of submissions
  • A list of potential contributors (names and affiliations)
  • A list of program committee members (names and affiliations)
  • Name, e-mail address, affiliation, website with a publication list, and short bio of each special session organizer. It is expected that at least one of the organizers would be attending the IEEE SSCI 2022 conference.
  • Name of corresponding special session organizer

Proposals and inquiries regarding special session proposals should be sent directly via emails to the IEEE SSCI 2022 Program Chairs: Hisao Ishibuchi (hisaoi@cs.osakafu-u.ac.jp) and Chee-Keong Kwoh (asckkwoh@ntu.edu.sg).
Submission deadline of special session proposals is 1st May 2022(Extended). Early proposal submission is strongly encouraged.
